Road Rules

Let me take a minute to vent about something so simple that just really pisses me off. As I am sure that no one cares but who knows, maybe there are a few out there that agree with me and want to run over bikers or maybe I'm just freaking nuts and need to be medicated. There are just a few things (okay that's a lie, there are alot, but most I don't honk and cuss at) that really irritate me besides people who can't work the self check out. (That's a whole new blog.) One of those few things are people who ride bicycles on the street when there is a perfectly good sidewalk next to them. #1....HELLOOOOO!!!!! we live in Memphis and as we all know people can not drive in Memphis and probably 1/4 of them have no insurance. So with that in mind doesn't that make these bicyclist kind of suicidal anyways? I hate that I have to slow down, turn my wheel slightly, or make any kind of adjustments to my driving because there is some (or numerous) idiots riding their bikes ten feet away from the sidewalk. What's that about? What's wrong with the sidewalk? And do you know that there were about four mid age males riding their bikes down the street the other day parrell to me. I came up on a red stop sign and just as changed to green I accelerated and almost ran into the four males because they thought they had right away I suppose and cut in front of my cars in the middle of a busy street. Of course, I honked and cursed them (with the window up although I'm sure those words can be lip read.) Then the males all flipped me of together. This was a joint flipping off which I don't think I have encountered. Then nerve. They were driving on the street in a bike, NOT A CAR, and tried to pass me and I'm in the wrong?

Healthy Snacks

So here are a few snacks for those of you dieting. (Isn't that everyone? I mean we are always dieting, right?) There are many more to come also. I will post as I try. First on the list are some Special K Orange Bliss bars. Have you ever had a chocolate orange? You fatties know what I'm talking about. You can get them year round and always find them at Walgreens. Well that is exactly what these taste like. I could have eaten the whole box but then I guess that doesn't make it a healthy snack huh? These babies have 90 calories and 2g fat. Two weight watcher points. Second on the list (Can you tell I started a diet Sunday, yes only Sunday, and have yet to have anything sweet besides grapes and 10g of fiber cereal? I was craving them today though) the wonderful people who brought you skinny cows have now come out with Skinny Dips. They come in two kinds of variety packs. I got the one with the mint chocolate in it. (I had just passed the mint chocolate drumsticks, which if you have never had one and like mint chocolate chip all I can say is orgasm in a cone!!!!!) These little dudes are either mint ice cream or vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate with 80 calories, 3g fat, and 2g fiber. Total weight watcher point: 1!! Highly recommend bot and remember like I said earlier if you eat the whole box, well, not as healthy.

Holden's fisrt Vehicle

So Iris gave Holden her Jeep! Very nice of her. So far we goes backwards more than forward but he'll get the hang of it. I think he knocked back a few too many bottles that day. Maybe he shouldn't have been driving.

Magic Potatoes

So I was in Wally World the other day and came across the ultimate lazy/busy person potatoes. i was hesitate thinking they wouldn't taste nearly as good just a baked potato in the microwave doesn't taste as good as one in the oven but for $2.50 I was going to try and see. It's a bag of 8 potatoes (red or yellow) washed and ready to go. All you have to do is put them in the microwave for 8 minutes. Take em out, add butter (of course), some sour cream, a bit of milk, garlic salt, and pepper. Total cook time 10 minutes!!! I give them a way big thumbs up!!!! These tings rock.
